About

Mark North FICB

Mark North is an experienced freelance bookkeeper and small business administrator. He has been providing freelance bookkeeping and business services to a variety of small businesses since 2003. Prior to this he worked in a number of finance and asset management roles in financial, manufacturing and distribution organisations. He is licensed to practice by the Institute of Certified Bookkeepers and is a member of the Association of Accounting Technicians.

"I understand that no two businesses are the same, and always aim to find the way of working that suits you best. My work is either performed on-site, or at a distance via cloud accounting with posted documents. For those that like to keep their hand in on the basic bookkeeping themselves, I also provide a reconciliation service to deal with the more technical aspects of the record-keeping like bank reconciliation and credit control. Of course, i also offer Payroll, CIS and VAT scheme support.

I can provide self-assessment services for sole traders and partnerships with turnover under £100k if required, whilst for larger 'small' businesses and limited companies, I provide accounting administration and management, along with practical and prudent business advice. I work closely with you and your appointed management accountants to deliver a comprehensive financial administration and management function for your business.

I work on contracts from short-term 'maternity cover' and one-offs, to long-standing arrangements for quarterly VAT or annual self-assessment returns. So, whether you're an expanding business with plans for world domination, a smaller business needing a temporary solution, or a one-man-band that just doesn't want to have to do their own books, I can provide as much (or little) support as is needed."
